Our Name

In 2006, Marie lost her older brother, PFC Nick Madaras, who was KIA in Baqubah, Iraq proudly serving for the 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division of the United States Army - nicknamed the "Silver Lions".  Nick served for the Silver Lions when they, as a unit, were awarded the Valorous Unit Award.  Before he died, Nick asked for us to send him extra soccer balls to replace the cans children kicked in the streets of Iraq.  He was killed before he could ever hand a soccer ball to a child.  In death, Nick continues to proudly serve our family and country by helping to make the lives of children across the globe a little better through an organization called Kick For Nick.  Kick For Nick has distributed over 50,000 soccer balls to children across 53 countries.

Marie's pride in her brother, family, and work is all reflected in our kennel name and remains our promise to our clients and their canines.
